The order Korean men buy clothes usually goes like this: check YouTube first, order on Musinsa, then hit Seongsu or Apgujeong on the weekend to see the real thing. If What Korean Men in Their 20s and 30s Actually Wear named the brands, this piece is about where those names actually travel from.
The short answer
- By size: Today's Joo Woo-jae 1.37M · Kkang Stylist 1.15M · Sosin Sajang 846K · Fit the Size 739K (verified September 5, 2026).
- For English subtitles, Today's Joo Woo-jae is your surest bet — several videos carry [ENG] in the title.
- The real value isn't the ranking but the select shops multiple YouTubers keep naming — Modman, Worksout, Sculp, Obscura, Unifair, Random Walk.
- Fit the Size runs his own select shop in Seongsu.
Which fashion channels do Korean men actually watch?
Straight answer: no single channel owns the space. People switch channels depending on what they’re after. Want a full outfit decided for you? Kkang Stylist. Want someone else to do the select-shop browsing? Joo Woo-jae. Wading into expensive categories like watches, fragrance, or suits? Classei.
📺 Subscriber counts verified directly on each channel's YouTube page on September 5, 2026
| Channel | Subscribers | What it covers | English subs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Today’s Joo Woo-jae | 1.37M | Model Joo Woo-jae’s select-shop shopping trips, item comparisons, guest seats | Selected episodes ([ENG] tag) |
| Kkang Stylist | 1.15M | Outfit recs from a working stylist, brand collabs, store raids | Not confirmed |
| Sosin Sajang | 846K | Product and brand breakdowns from an ex-shopping-mall MD | Not checked |
| Fit the Size | 739K | Area shopping guides, body-type styling, hauls | Some videos only |
| Classei | 541K | Watches, fragrance, eyewear, suits — tiered rankings | Not confirmed |
| PIRO | 293K | Street lookbooks, temperature-based styling, select & vintage shop roundups | Not confirmed |
Two caveats. First, these numbers are today’s numbers. Tracking sites disagree — some list Kkang Stylist at 1.17M, others at 1.15M. Second, Kkang Stylist has actually shrunk, from 1.26M in 2024 to 1.15M now. There’s no public reason, so it’s better not to speculate.
Two channels whose names get confusing
Korea Fashion Stylist isn't a separate channel — it's Kkang Stylist's English channel name. Don't count the same channel twice. And the channel people call Fashion PIRO is officially named PIRO.
Which channels are worth watching if you don't speak Korean?
Straight answer: start with Today’s Joo Woo-jae. If you don’t know Korean, it’s basically your only real option.
- Several videos carry [ENG] in the title — especially the guest-seat series, and some add [ENG/JP] with Japanese too.
- The Garosu-gil, Apgujeong, and Hannam-dong select-shop episodes have human-made English subtitles — not auto-translated, but typed by hand.
- That said, it's selective, not full coverage. Plenty of recent uploads only have Korean auto-captions.
Fit the Size has one exception worth knowing. A single video — “Seongsu Shopping Guide: Hot Select Shop Picks” — carries manual English, Japanese, and Chinese subtitles, and the description says it was made to introduce domestic brands and select shops to foreigners visiting Seongsu. If you only watch one video before Seoul, make it this one.
In recent samples from the other channels, I couldn’t find human-made English subtitles — only auto-generated tracks, or in PIRO’s case, sometimes not even an auto English track. Since this wasn’t an exhaustive sweep, read it as “not confirmed” rather than “none at all.”
Which select shops do these people keep going back to?
This is the point of the whole piece. Channel rankings go stale, but when different YouTubers name the same store in their own videos, that’s not taste — that’s a coordinate.
Below are only the shops that two or more of the six channels named in their titles or descriptions. Places mentioned by a single channel were left out.
📍 Modman 📍 Worksout 📍 Sculp Store 📍 Obscura 📍 Unifair 📍 Random Walk
How do you work through them by neighborhood?
🗺️ The routes the YouTubers actually bundled into single videos
| Neighborhood | Stores bundled together | Channels that mention them |
|---|---|---|
| Seongsu | Obscura · Slow Steady Club · PRTPRT · Beaker · Empty | Fit the Size, PIRO |
| Hongdae · Yeonnam · Hapjeong | Modman · Worksout · Sculp · Havati · Liker Shop | Fit the Size, Joo Woo-jae, PIRO |
| Sinsa · Apgujeong | Unifair · Random Walk · Freight · Addicted · Ecru | Fit the Size, Joo Woo-jae, PIRO |
| Itaewon | Sculp · Nest Store · VDR | Joo Woo-jae |
Don't try to hit all of them in one day
These four areas are far apart and have different personalities. Two areas, half a day each, is the realistic ceiling.
- If domestic brands are the goal: Seongsu + Hongdae. Young labels and pop-ups cluster there.
- If imported and contemporary labels are the goal: Apgujeong + Itaewon. A price tier up.
- Select shops mostly open around noon and often close Mondays. Check hours on Naver Map before you go.
Do any of these YouTubers run their own store?
Two came up.
Insane Garage (Fit the Size) — a select shop where Fit the Size is the boss. It started online in 2022, and the channel description lists the store at 136 Wangsimni-ro, Seongdong-gu, which puts it in the Seongsu area. That said, the business address at the bottom of the brand’s own site reads differently (Seongsui-ro 8-gil), so it’s worth double-checking on the map before you head over.
📍 Insane Garage — Open in Naver Map
Kkang Stylist’s collab store — in a March 2023 video he said he opened a store in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam, open weekends only, 1–7 pm. But that was three years ago, and whether it’s still running in 2026 hasn’t been confirmed. Check his Instagram or similar before making the trip.
So how do you actually use this?
Before you land in Seoul, two videos cover the prep: Today’s Joo Woo-jae’s [ENG] select-shop episodes and Fit the Size’s Seongsu shopping guide. You don’t need to memorize brand names — just save five or six store names to your map.
Once you’re in Seoul, start with those six overlapping shops. The goal isn’t to visit all six; it’s to get a feel for how densely Korean men actually look at clothes. Once you have that feel, deciding what to buy on Musinsa gets a lot faster.
