The short answer
- Daytime tour cruises start around ₩18,900 (about 60 min); a moonlit dinner cruise runs up to ₩139,000
- The Hangang Bus is public transit at ₩3,000 one way — not even the same product as a cruise
- E-Land Cruise sails from Yeouido and Jamsil; Ttukseom is a Hangang Bus stop, not a cruise dock
Search for a Hangang cruise and you will drown in options that all blur together. Similar names, wildly different prices — from ₩18,900 up to ₩149,000, nearly an eightfold spread. This post slices them apart by course, sailing time, dock, night-view section and whether food is included, then pits them head-to-head against the ₩3,000 Hangang Bus and a free riverside walk. Other Hangang activities like cycling and picnicking live in a separate post; here it is boats only.
What sets each Hangang cruise course apart?
These days, Hangang sightseeing cruises are essentially run by E-Land Cruise (E-Cruise) out of the Yeouido and Jamsil docks. The products fall into three rough groups: daytime tour cruises that do a loop, evening cruises that catch the sunset and night views with a show, and dinner cruises with a meal thrown in.
🏆 Hangang cruises by course
| Course | Price (per adult) | Duration | What’s included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daytime tour cruise | About ₩18,900–19,900 | About 60 min | Hangang loop sightseeing; drinks separate |
| Before-sunset & starlight cruise | About ₩22,900–25,900 | About 60–70 min | Night views, sunset |
| Sunset music & moonlight music cruise | About ₩27,900 | About 70 min | Night views + live show |
| Sunset dinner cruise | About ₩99,000 | About 70 min | Meal + onboard show |
| Moonlight dinner cruise | About ₩139,000 | About 70 min | Buffet and steak + show |
| Fireworks dinner cruise (Fridays in August) | About ₩149,000 | About 70 min | Meal + show + fireworks |
Most of the price gap is not the boat ride — it is the food. A dinner cruise includes a 30-dish buffet and steak, which makes it less a sightseeing boat and more a restaurant floating on the Hangang. If the scenery is the point, a tour cruise does the job; if an atmospheric meal is the point, budget the dinner cruise as dining out.
Book the Hangang moonlight dinner cruise
A course with buffet, steak and an onboard show — budget it as a fine-dining night out, not a boat fare. If you only want the views, the tour cruise or Hangang Bus below is the smarter money.

Yeouido vs. Jamsil — what's the difference?
E-Land Cruise runs from both docks and the course lineup is similar, so just pick whichever is closer to your hotel or route — it splits into a Yeouido tour cruise and a Jamsil tour cruise. And do not confuse Ttukseom: it is a Hangang Bus stop and a favorite picnic spot, not a cruise dock.
As for tour cruises and evening cruises, the short version: if you just want time on the river, under ₩30,000 is plenty.
Book the Hangang night cruise + Gwangjang Market night tour
A cruise combined with 63 Building views and Gwangjang Market. More packed than a bare boarding pass — right if you want a whole evening itinerary sorted.

How do pure night-view and fireworks cruises differ from dinner cruises?
There are also separate products for people who want night views and fireworks without a meal. Cheaper than a dinner cruise, they are the pick when you want to focus on the skyline alone.
🏆 Night-view-focused cruise options
| Product | What it is |
|---|---|
| Han River Cruise - Night Views & Fireworks Show | Night views + fireworks show, no meal |
| Sunset fireworks cruise | Boards at sunset, includes fireworks |
| Sunset / moonlight music / starlight cruise (Yeouido) | Night-view products split by time of day |
Book the Hangang night views + fireworks cruise
Cheaper than a dinner cruise and focused purely on the views and spectacle. If you do not need dinner, this is the better value.

What’s left once you compare it to the ₩3,000 Hangang Bus and a free walk?
The Hangang Bus is water-borne public transit that entered full service in 2025. It runs between seven docks — Magok, Mangwon, Yeouido, Apgujeong, Oksu, Ttukseom and Jamsil — with a base fare of ₩3,000 and transfer discounts from the subway and bus. The fundamental difference: it is a way to get from A to B, not a sightseeing loop that brings you back to where you started.
🏆 Cruise vs. Hangang Bus vs. free riverside walk
| Option | Fare | Nature | Includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daytime tour cruise | From about ₩18,900 | Sightseeing (loop) | Hangang loop views; kiosk separate |
| Hangang Bus | ₩3,000 one way | Public transit (transport) | Seats, transfer discounts |
| Hangang Park walk & night views | Free | Self-guided | Nothing (mat and snacks separate) |
If you only count the view out the window, plenty of people will tell you the Hangang Bus and a cruise are not that different. Want nothing more than the river scenery without onboard shows and kiosks? A round trip on one Hangang Bus segment is often plenty.
When to skip the cruise
If you are not chasing photos or bragging rights and just want river air, there is no reason to spend. A Hangang Park walk and the night views are free, and a convenience-store instant ramyeon boiled riverside is a small enough splurge to pass the time.
When do cruises get cancelled?
Sailings are adjusted or stopped in bad weather — strong wind, heavy snow — or when the river level rises. When the Paldang Dam’s approved discharge stays above a threshold (3,900 cubic meters per second), some Hangang Bus routes pause temporarily, so cancellation odds shift with the season and rainfall. Even cancellations for failing to meet a minimum headcount come with text or phone notice, and you can reschedule or get a full refund.
If you are planning a cruise during the summer monsoon or typhoon season, it is safer to check the refund and change policy up front.
