About Seoul Window
Last updated: 2026-08-13
Seoul Window is a Seoul travel site built on things that can be measured — a street camera, open city data, and prices checked on foot. It is written for visitors, in four languages.
Where we are
We live and work in Hongdae, Seoul. That is also where our 24-hour street camera points, and it is why neighbourhood pages carry an on-site check date rather than a vague "recently updated".
How the guides are made
Hourly readings from the camera and Seoul's open data feeds become the live status and the daily briefs. Guides are written on top of that and checked in person where the claim is checkable — prices, opening hours, whether a place still exists.
Where a number is inferred rather than measured, we mark it. Where a place has closed, we say so instead of quietly deleting it.
Languages
Everything is published in English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Translations are edited for each market rather than run through a machine and left.
Related sites we run
seoulhanbok.com — hanbok rental shops near Gyeongbokgung, compared on one map.
hongdaeluggage.com — luggage storage around Hongdae.
When we link to these from an article, we are linking to ourselves, and we say so.
Corrections
If a price, an opening time or a closure on this site is wrong, tell us. Corrections are the cheapest thing we can do and the most useful thing you can send us.
