- SPAREX charges ₩14,000 for adults at the door during the day, while the online feed shows about ₩13,900 — a gap in the ₩100 range for daytime.
- For the same ₩30,000, Club K Seoul buys you 24 hours and Cimer's jjimjil spa buys you 4. That's ₩1,250 versus ₩7,500 per hour.
- Overtime fees run ₩2,000 at Club K, ₩3,000 at Sealala, ₩5,000 at Aquafield, and ₩10,000 at Cimer — a five-fold spread between facilities.
Why is it so hard to tell whether buying a jjimjilbang ticket online is a deal? Because precious few facilities actually publish their walk-in prices on their websites. With nothing to compare against, you can’t tell if the online price is cheap. So this article gathers only facilities whose gate prices could be confirmed through official rate sheets (or sources of similar standing), then calculates the difference against the online price.
The second number I worked out is the cost per hour of your stay. With a jjimjilbang, how long you stay — not the admission fee itself — is what really drives the pricing, and the usable hours and overtime fees differ sharply from one facility to the next. Massage and aesthetic course packages are out of scope here; I’m looking strictly at admission and the bathing and jjimjil experience itself.

How much cheaper is the online price than the gate price?
On daytime rates, there’s barely any difference at all. The gap only shows up when you compare against the overnight rate.

All those blank cells are the takeaway
Unlike water parks, many jjimjilbang and onsen operators simply don't post a rate sheet on their websites. Without the gate price, you can't tell whether an online price is actually a discount. In the table above, only the two SPAREX branches could be calculated — and even then, the daytime gap is in the ₩100 range. The Klook feed price is unverified and shifts with the date and option.
In other words, the real value of buying a jjimjilbang ticket online isn't the price. It's tapping a QR code at the kiosk and walking in with zero language barrier, picking your date freely within the validity window, and getting a refund if you never use it. If your only reason to book is shaving off ₩500–₩2,000, then — unless you're going at night — there's no real reason to buy ahead.
Lock in a 24-hour Dongdaemun jjimjilbang ticket ahead of time
The walk-in overnight rate is ₩16,000 for adults (uniform included). Against the online price, that works out to about ₩2,000 less. It sits on B3 of Good Morning City, so you can head straight in after shopping in Dongdaemun.
For daytime visits (05:00–20:00), the gap from the ₩14,000 gate price is only about ₩100, so there's no reason to pre-book. Free parking for sauna guests is capped at 3 hours; after that it's ₩3,000 per hour. As of August 2026.
How many hours does ₩30,000 actually buy?
For the same money, your stay can stretch or shrink up to six-fold depending on the facility. Below, I divided the rate by the usable hours listed on official rate sheets.

The most extreme comparison is Club K Seoul’s 24-hour pass versus Cimer’s jjimjil spa pass. Both cost ₩30,000, yet one buys 24 hours and the other 4. To be fair, Cimer is a resort-style facility inside Paradise City, so it’s a different kind of place — but if the sauna itself is your goal, you’re better off knowing the per-hour gap before you choose.

Overtime fees are a far bigger variable than any ticket discount. Stay two hours past your time at Aquafield Jjimjil Spa and ₩10,000 gets added, which mostly wipes out whatever you’d save by booking online. Overshoot by two hours at Cimer and it’s ₩20,000.
The lowest per-hour jjimjilbang option in Gangnam
Club K Seoul splits its tickets by the hour, from a ₩13,000 five-hour sauna pass up to a ₩30,000 24-hour jjimjilbang pass. At ₩1,250 per hour, the 24-hour pass is the cheapest I calculated in this article. Its overtime rate is also the lowest, at ₩2,000 per hour.
Sauna and cafe passes don't include a uniform, which costs ₩2,000 extra. If you only need five hours, the walk-in sauna pass at ₩13,000 is plenty. Under Korea's youth protection laws, minors can't enter between 22:00 and 05:00 without a guardian. As of August 2026.
How is an onsen priced differently?
At an onsen, the bath-only pass and the pool-and-spa (water play) pass are sold separately, with seasonal pricing layered on top. It doesn’t end at a single admission fee the way a jjimjilbang does.
Icheon Termeden splits tickets into an all-day pass (open to close), an afternoon pass (from 14:00), and a weekend night pass (Sat–Sun, from 17:00 to close). Guests 65 and older and people with disabilities get 50% off the pool-and-spa all-day pass and 20% off the bath-only pass. Group discounts kick in only when a party of 20 or more adults or children books, and rates differ by season. Because the season blocks change often, check the seasonal rate for your visit date first. If you only plan to use the bath, there’s no reason to buy the pool-and-spa all-day pass. KKday’s discounted Termeden tickets are likewise split by ticket type, so check which zones your pass covers before you buy.

Cheaper alternatives — when there's no reason to book online
- If you're using SPAREX during daytime hours. The ₩14,000 gate price and the online price differ by only about ₩100.
- If you only need a short pass, like Club K's sauna pass. You can walk in and get it for ₩13,000.
- If you're 65 or older or have a disability. On-site discounts like Termeden's 50% off the pool-and-spa all-day pass beat online savings.
- If you'll visit Sealala's sauna repeatedly. A 10-visit sauna pass costs ₩90,000, bringing each visit down to ₩9,000.
What restrictions come with online tickets?
Look at the restrictions before the price. Online tickets carry conditions that walk-in payment doesn’t.
The one people miss most often is the nationality restriction. KKday’s SPAREX Dongmyo ticket lists South Korea among the ineligible nationalities in its product details — meaning it’s aimed at foreign visitors. If you hold a Korean passport, skip this listing and use walk-in ticketing or a different channel instead. The same facility can carry different conditions depending on where it’s sold.
Things to check before you book
- No re-entry. Once you leave SPAREX Dongmyo, you can't go back in. To store luggage and step out, you need the separate luggage storage option (₩20,000).
- Extra charge past 24 hours. "Open 24 hours" doesn't mean unlimited.
- A ₩20,000 penalty if you lose your key.
- Minors can't enter alone. At SPAREX Dongmyo, unaccompanied minors aren't allowed between 22:00 and 05:00.
- Sealala's jjimjilbang runs mainly on weekends and holidays during peak season, so check whether it's open if you're visiting on a weekday.
- Unused tickets are sometimes 100% refundable within the validity period. After entry, however, refund rules switch to the facility's own policy. Sealala only accepts refunds within 30 minutes of entry.
A newly built jjimjilbang right by the station
It sits on the 12th and 13th floors of a building near Dongmyo Station Exit 6, splitting daytime (05:00–20:00) from overnight (20:00–05:00). Divide the ₩14,000 daytime pass by up to 15 hours and you land at about ₩930 per hour.
KKday's listing includes South Korea among the ineligible nationalities, so if you're Korean, walk-in ticketing is the answer. Sauna guests park free for up to 3 hours. As of August 2026.
Where to look if you also want to swim
Whether you want sauna only or sauna plus water play decides which type of facility to pick. Places that run a jjimjil spa and a water park in one building split their rates by ticket type, so pick only the zones you’ll actually use.
Aquafield has three branches — Hanam, Goyang, and Anseong. The jjimjil spa alone allows up to 6 hours, while a multi-pass covering both the water park and the jjimjil spa allows up to 9 hours. Tickets don’t transfer between branches, so double-check which branch your ticket is for. At Sealala, water park guests can add the jjimjilbang for just ₩5,000 (the uniform), so if water play is your main goal, a product combining the water park and jjimjilbang keeps the math simple. On the Ilsan side, the One Mount water park and jjimjilbang package follows the same pattern.
Book only the 6-hour jjimjil spa at Starfield
Aquafield Jjimjil Spa allows up to 6 hours, with ₩5,000 per extra hour. If you don't plan to use the water park, there's no reason to buy the multi-pass (up to 9 hours).
Tickets are branch-specific, so make sure the product matches the branch you'll visit among Hanam, Goyang, and Anseong. There are separate early-morning and late-night entry discounts, so if you can time your visit, you may not need a full-price booking at all. As of August 2026.
