Comparing water park tickets is hard not because of the prices but because of the ticketing systems. Some parks offer only two options — all-day and afternoon — while others add a night pass for three, and a place like Aquafield skips the whole idea of an “all-day” ticket and sells timed entry of six or nine hours instead. Put the sticker prices side by side and you still cannot tell which one is actually cheaper.
So for this article I pulled the August 2026 peak-season walk-up prices and operating hours published on each facility’s official website and calculated two things: the hourly rate, found by dividing price by usable hours, and the total cost per person once round-trip transport from Seoul is added. Any fee I could not verify was left out of the tables, with only its structure explained.

Why are water park ticket systems so different?
Broadly, they fall into three types. The two-ticket type sells only all-day and afternoon passes. The three-ticket type adds a night pass. And the timed type sells how long you can stay rather than when you enter.

Aquafield needs its own calculation
Aquafield's Hanam, Goyang, and Anseong branches cap the water park and the jjimjil spa at six hours each, and the multi-pass covering both at nine hours. Go over the limit and it costs an extra ₩5,000 per hour. In other words, Aquafield is not a case for comparing hourly rates — it is about picking the ticket that matches how long you plan to stay.
Is an afternoon pass actually a deal?
Judged by hourly rate, an afternoon pass is not a cheaper ticket — it is a shorter one. Below, I plugged each facility’s official August 2026 peak-season walk-up prices and posted operating hours straight into a per-hour calculation.

The verdict differs by park. Caribbean Bay's afternoon pass asks you to give up six hours to save only ₩10,000, which at peak-season walk-up rates is the worst value here. High1 and One Mount, by contrast, save ₩15,000–18,000, so if you are arriving in the afternoon anyway, the afternoon pass is a sensible call. At Caribbean Bay, rather than agonizing over the afternoon pass, buy the all-day pass at a discounted pre-booking price instead.
Getting Caribbean Bay's all-day pass below the walk-up price
The August 2026 peak-season walk-up prices are ₩79,000 for the all-day pass and ₩69,000 for the afternoon pass. The ₩10,000 you save with the afternoon pass is the price of giving up six hours — so if you can make the 8:30 AM opening, the all-day pass runs at roughly half the hourly rate.
In off-peak and shoulder seasons the walk-up prices themselves drop, so pre-booking discounts are small. Unless it's a peak-season weekend, buying at the gate is enough. As of August 2026.
What does a day trip from Seoul actually cost?
On ticket price alone Sealala is cheapest, and adding transport does not change the ranking — but it does widen the gap. The transport figures below use the Seoul metro base fare of ₩1,550 (reflecting the June 2025 increase) and the ₩15,000 listed price for the Everland and Caribbean Bay round-trip shuttle on KKday.

A cheaper option — check resident discounts first
- Sealala gives Yeongdeungpo, Yangcheon, Guro, and Geumcheon residents a standing 30% discount on the water park all-day pass. If you live in one of those districts, the on-site discount can beat online prices.
- Sealala also gives people aged 65 and over and those with disabilities a standing 50% discount on the all-day pass. In that case, skip the pre-booking and just bring ID.
- One Mount charges middle and high school students ₩27,000 for a weekday or weekend all-day pass when they show a student ID. Traveling with students? The on-site student discount can beat online tickets.
- Caribbean Bay's main gate parking is capped at ₩10,000 a day when you settle through the Kakao T app. If you are driving, that can come in under the ₩15,000 round-trip shuttle.
Water parks you can walk to from a subway station keep the math simple. Sealala sits in an underground space near Mullae Station on Line 2, and water park guests can add the jjimjilbang for just ₩5,000 for the sauna robe.

Yeongdeungpo, Yangcheon, Guro, and Geumcheon residents get a standing 30% on-site discount, so there is no reason to pre-book. The water park operates every day only during peak season, so check opening days before you go. As of August 2026.
When is a regional water park worth the trip?
Only when you are staying overnight or already have another reason to be there. If you are heading down just for the water park, the transport ends up costing more than the ticket.
Take ClubD Oasis in Haeundae, Busan. A standard-class KTX seat from Seoul to Busan is about ₩59,800 one way, so the round trip alone is ₩119,600 — already more than the ₩94,000 Caribbean Bay total worked out above. High1 Water World is in Jeongseon, Gangwon, a two-and-a-half-hour-plus train ride from Cheongnyangni on the Taebaek Line. A same-day round trip effectively shrinks your swimming time down to afternoon-pass levels.

Splas Resom has one of the widest ranges of ticket types. According to its official rate table, the hot spring and water park all-day pass (9:00 AM entry) is ₩70,000, the afternoon pass (3:00 PM entry) ₩42,000, and the night pass (6:00 PM entry) ₩31,000 — the afternoon pass runs about 60% of the all-day price. An afternoon-pass discount that deep is rare.
Ocean World in Hongcheon, Gangwon adds round-trip travel from Seoul, but it is also sold as packages that bundle in Vivaldi Park lifts and rentals. If you plan to do more than just swim, KKday’s lift and rental package may be more useful than a standalone entry ticket.
Pairing an Ocean World ticket with your travel plans
Ocean World sells three ticket types — all-day, afternoon, and night — so choosing one that matches your arrival time wastes less of your day. The round trip from Seoul takes at least three hours, so if you buy an all-day pass and do not make it by morning, your hourly rate climbs fast.
If you have already booked Vivaldi Park accommodation, entry is often bundled into your stay package, so buying a separate ticket could double up. Check seasonal walk-up prices on the official site. As of August 2026.
How do you pick a timed park like Aquafield?
Decide how long you will stay first, then pick the ticket. Aquafield caps the water park alone or the jjimjil spa alone at six hours, and the multi-pass covering both at nine, with a ₩5,000 per hour surcharge beyond that. If you only plan to swim for three or four hours, the multi-pass is money down the drain.
The combined Aquafield ticket listed on Klook’s feed shows US$16.05, which at ₩1,400 to the dollar works out to roughly ₩22,000. But that is an unverified feed price that shifts by branch, ticket type, and date, so it cannot be compared on the same basis as the hourly-rate table above. Check the actual branch rates on the Klook product page after confirming whether you are looking at Hanam, Goyang, or Anseong.
One Mount’s indoor zone stays open until 8:00 PM in peak season, so its afternoon pass is quite usable. Combined water park and jjimjilbang packages are also sold separately.
Doing the water park and jjimjilbang in one go in Ilsan
One Mount's official rates for July 25–August 17, 2026 are ₩75,000 for the all-day pass and ₩60,000 for the afternoon pass. Instead of paying for the water park and jjimjilbang separately, a package product can bring the total down.
Adding One Mount on Kakao Plus Friend gets you ₩38,900 for the all-day pass and ₩32,900 for the after-2:00 PM afternoon pass at the gate. If you can use that discount, there is no reason to buy an online package. As of August 2026.
When can you skip online booking?
There are three cases. First, if you qualify for a resident or student discount, the on-site rate can beat the online one — Sealala’s 30% resident discount and One Mount’s ₩27,000 student all-day pass are examples. Second, card issuer and carrier partner discounts mostly apply only to on-site purchases. One Mount explicitly states in its official info that partner card discounts are for on-site ticketing only.
Restrictions to check before booking
- Many water parks stop selling tickets an hour before closing. Both One Mount and Sealala state this in their official info, so arrive too late and you cannot get in.
- Sealala only allows refunds within 30 minutes of entry. That is separate from online-ticket cancellation terms, so check both.
- Sealala sets water park use at 12 hours, with a ₩3,000 per hour overage beyond that; Aquafield charges ₩5,000 per hour over its 6–9 hour limits, and Cimer charges ₩10,000 per hour past six hours. If you plan a long stay, those overage fees eat up the ticket difference.
- Caribbean Bay supplies no shower products or towels other than shampoo and body wash. Towel rental costs ₩2,000 for standard and ₩5,000 for large.
Third, when it is not peak season. High1 Water World charges ₩46,000 for the same all-day pass in the off-season versus ₩77,000 in peak season — a ₩31,000 difference. If you can avoid peak season at all, shifting your dates saves far more than any pre-booking discount.
