Yacht tour prices are hard to compare for one simple reason. A public tour charges per person; a private charter charges for the whole boat. Different units, so saying a public ride is cheap or a charter is pricey means nothing until you know the headcount.
So this article does the headcount math. I normalized the actual list prices for the Hangang and Busan to a 60-minute basis, then worked out the point where a charter starts winning on a per-person basis. I added ride lengths, night-sailing windows, and drink-and-snack inclusions in tables. Big river cruises aren’t the subject here — they only show up at the end as a cheaper fallback.
Public vs charter: how do the price units actually differ?

That ₩200,000 in the third row isn’t a confirmed price — it’s an assumption I set for this piece. The charter description says that beyond the 60-minute rental, the package includes a bottle of wine, a cake or bouquet, interior decor, seven printed photo-decor sheets, and a mirrorless-camera shoot with a frame. The ₩200,000 is what I estimated it would cost to source that setup yourself.
The verdict is clear. If four of you just want the Hangang night view, the public tour is dramatically cheaper. A charter only makes sense with 9 or more people — or when you're paying for the occasion itself, like a proposal or birthday, regardless of headcount. And since the Fairline, the biggest yacht on the Han, seats 11, the window where raw pricing alone justifies a charter is a narrow 9-to-11-people band.
Board a Sevit Island yacht at a per-person fare
Listed at US$24.80 (roughly ₩34,700) in August 2026 — the same figure I used as the public baseline above. It came with free cancellation and instant confirmation, and a pet-friendly option was flagged.
Banpo Golden Blue Marina also sells 30-minute rides on site from ₩15,000 per adult. If the cheapest boat will do, buying at the counter can be cheaper — but ask on site if you want a specific vessel. Checked August 2026.
Rent a whole Hangang yacht for 60 minutes, decor included
Listed at US$574.05 (roughly ₩800,000) in August 2026, with a bottle of wine, interior decor, and a photo session bundled into the 60-minute rental. Under 9 people, several public tickets work out cheaper, per the math above.
For the photo decor, you send seven photos by email after booking. This is not a last-minute product — and if you don't need the staging, the public tour is plenty.
If you’d rather be on a different kind of boat in the same Banpo waters, there’s the Sevit Island Tubester. Its August 2026 feed price of US$24.69 sits in almost the same band as the yacht experience, but it’s a different ride and format — book it expecting a yacht and you’ll be disappointed.
How is a Busan Gwangalli yacht different from the Hangang?
The biggest difference is what you’re looking at. The Hangang gives you the Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain and the downtown skyline; Gwangalli gives you the Gwangan Bridge and the Saturday drone show.

Busan’s per-person fares sit lower than the Hangang’s. The Gwangalli Marine Leisure Sports Center advertises ₩20,000 for weekday daytimes and ₩25,000 at night, while other operators split it into weekday daytime ₩15,000, night ₩25,000, and sunset/peak ₩30,000. Booking-platform feed prices cluster in the US$12–17 band.
Catching the Gwangalli drone show from a yacht
- The drone show runs only on Saturdays — twice in summer (March–September) at 8 and 10 pm, once in winter (October–February) at 7 pm.
- Each show is just 10–12 minutes. You need to be on the water at that moment, so work backward from showtime when picking a departure.
- For the one-hour course leaving Suyeongman Yacht Stadium, the Saturday 7:30 pm departure is the one advertised as catching the drone show from the water in front of Gwangan Bridge.
- Some operators cancel public tours with fewer than 6 passengers. On quiet weekday slots, check this condition first.
Book the 60-minute Gwangalli course with drinks and snacks bundled
The August 2026 feed price is US$16.95 (roughly ₩23,700), and the public tour is described as a 60-minute course with free beer, drinks, and snacks. Night sailings run 18:00–22:00 on both weekdays and weekends.
Walk-up public rides at places like the Gwangalli Marine Leisure Sports Center start at ₩20,000 on weekday daytimes, sometimes cheaper. If you're not after the night view, there's little reason to book ahead. Checked August 2026.
A loop around Haeundae–Gwangalli at the lowest fare
At a US$12.69 (roughly ₩17,800) August 2026 feed price, this is the cheapest yacht product we confirmed. The trade-off: drink and snack inclusions and ride length aren't clearly stated.
Inclusions aren't listed, so if you'd be buying drinks anyway, re-run the total against Yacht Holic. Cheapest isn't always cheapest in total.
Along the same Gwangalli–Haeundae stretch there’s also a public yacht tour from another operator. Its August 2026 feed price is US$16.95 — the same band as Yacht Holic — so choose by departure time and inclusions rather than fare.

When can you skip the yacht?
If all you want is the night view from the water, you don’t need a yacht. A big river cruise costs far less.

The difference between a yacht and a cruise isn’t picture quality — it’s whether you can step out on deck and actually feel the boat roll. If that sensation isn’t worth paying for, the cruise is plenty.
Skip the booking in these cases
- Four people or fewer, no staging needed — a charter doesn't pencil out, and walk-up public rides are sometimes cheaper.
- You're in Busan on a non-Saturday — if the drone show was the point, there's no reason to pay a premium for a weekday-night yacht.
- A gale warning or typhoon is in the forecast — plain rain usually doesn't stop sailings (raincoats are often free), but many operators offer a 100% refund or rebooking when weather alerts cancel a trip. No need to lock in a date against the weather.
- Night-scape photos are the goal — long exposures are hard on a rocking small boat. You'll get better results with a tripod at Banpo Hangang Park or Gwangalli Beach.
