Korean Folk Village reshuffles its ticket lineup with nearly every seasonal event. Search “how much is admission” and the stale prices surface first — figures that no longer match the tickets actually on sale right now. This guide copies only the numbers currently posted on the official sales and monthly-discount pages, as of August 2026.
I’ve attached two calculations. One divides the price gap between standalone admission and the Everland, Suwon Hwaseong, and Gwangmyeong Cave combo tours by the number of extra stops. The other strings the real showtimes of nine regular performances into a half-day route. Dollar prices are converted at 1 USD ≈ ₩1,400.
What Do Tickets Actually Cost Right Now?
The official sales page lists two timed night tickets, with condition-based discounts announced separately.

The base price is only back-calculated
The official page labels the 4 p.m. ticket as 51% off and the 6 p.m. ticket as 56% off, which works back to a base price in the ₩38,000 range. But the full-day standard ticket itself doesn't appear on the sales page right now, so I'm not quoting it here as a confirmed figure.
Opening hours swing widely with the seasonal events. During the summer night festival, the official hours on August 15, 2026 were 11:00–24:00. Parking is ₩2,000 for small cars and ₩3,000 for large ones.
Grab the admission ticket in advance and handle your own transport
The official 4 p.m. ticket is ₩19,000 and the public-transit discount price is ₩17,000. If a booking site lists anything higher, there's no reason to buy — use those two numbers as your benchmark.
If you're going by public transit, the official transit discount (₩17,000) is cheaper — no reason to go through a booking site then. As of August 2026.

Gwangmyeong Cave’s out-of-town adult admission is ₩10,000. Subtract that from the ₩73,750 gap and about ₩63,750 remains for the round-trip vehicle, guide, and Hwadam Forest.
Time matters more. Booking sites recommend 3–4 hours at the folk village, yet itineraries with 4 or more stops split the total into barely 2 hours each. In effect, a combo tour structurally lets you see only half the village. If the folk village itself is your goal, the combo is the wrong product.

Enter at 4 p.m. and stay until close, and on Fri, Sat, Sun and holidays you can chain 4 shows with no time clashes. The stages are split across the Pajeon & Makgeolli Festival special stage, Marketplace Village, and Folk Village House No. 37 performance hall, so the order matters.

What the day of the week changes
- On Mon–Thu there's no Eolssigu Jeolssiguya or Yeonbun. With 4 p.m. entry you're down to 3 shows, and you'll have to catch Pungmul Hangarak at 16:00 right after walking in.
- On Fri, Sat, Sun and holidays Pungmul Hangarak moves earlier to 15:30 — impossible to see with the 4 p.m. ticket.
- To pack in shows, daytime entry beats the 4 p.m. ticket. Starting with Eoseo-osio at 11:00 lets you fit 7 or more performances into a day.
- The lineup shifts with seasonal events, so double-check the official show guide for your visit date.

Per the official transport guide, Seoul express buses reach the village from Sinnonhyeon Station (5001-1), Gangnam Station (1560), and Seoul Station (4101). By subway, transfer once at Suwon Station Exit 4 (Line 1) or Sanggal Station Exit 3 (Suin–Bundang Line) onto bus 37 or 10-5. In short, public transit alone gets you there fine — and that’s exactly when the official ₩17,000 transit discount applies.
If you’re adding Everland, you can also buy just a shuttle. The round-trip Everland round-trip shuttle from Seoul lists at about USD 9.7 ≈ ₩13,600, which can bring the total lower than a full-day tour covering both places.
When Is a Combo Tour the Better Call?
When you don’t mind splitting your time and would rather hand the logistics to someone else. Especially with kids or elderly parents, when multiple transfers are a hassle.

Linking the theme park and folk village with one vehicle
Stated at 12 hours with free cancellation up to 3 days before. After the recommended 3–4 hours at the folk village, the remaining 8–9 hours go to Everland and the round-trip drive.
If you plan to actually ride the attractions at Everland, don't cram both into one day. Buying just the shuttle and splitting them into separate days tends to leave everyone happier. As of August 2026.
When Should You Skip It Altogether?
When there's no reason to book a combo tour
- The folk village itself is the goal — many itineraries can't guarantee the recommended 3–4 hours.
- You can reach it by transit — the official transit discount is ₩17,000.
- You're planning to wear hanbok — there's a separate hanbok discount, so the outfit and the ticket are handled together.
- You're a Gyeonggi resident or it's your birthday — each has a ₩21,000 discount.
- You only have Mon–Thu afternoons free — with the two evening shows gone, the 4 p.m. ticket loses its value.
To sum up, the day of the week and your entry time shape your visit far more than the ticket price. Check the show schedule first, pick your entry time, and only then choose how to get there.
