Rather than insert an unverified figure, we used the night opening time (18:00) as the baseline. Myeongdong Station Exit 10 is the standard meeting point, listed as 17:30 from May to October and 18:30 in other months. From June to September they say you’re back in Myeongdong by 22:30.

- If you only plan to walk the walls, you never needed a ticket anyway. It's free and open year-round.
If you also want the museums, the combo ticket is the better deal. Admission for all three — Hwaseong Haenggung, Suwon Hwaseong Museum, and Suwon Museum — is ₩4,000 for an adult, so adding even one museum to the ₩2,000 palace ticket tips the balance in its favor.
What do you add on if a day in Suwon feels short?

Slot an underground cave and a giant bookstore into the fortress day
Gwangmyeong Cave adult admission is ₩10,000, and Gwangmyeong City says it hands out ₩3,000 in paper local currency with same-day tickets. Linking Suwon and Gwangmyeong in one day by subway means too many transfers to bother.
