What exactly is Jenny House?
Short version: it is the Cheongdam salon that has been doing celebrity styling for more than twenty years. Founded in 2002, it has handled broadcast, red carpet and magazine shoots ever since, and the Cheongdam Hill branch that opened in August 2016 spreads hair, makeup and nails across five floors as its flagship. What happens on the day?
You arrive, the desk checks your voucher, and the first thing that happens is a consultation with your designer. They read your face shape and hair texture, adjust the plan with you, and then it runs shampoo → treatment → final set. Budget around an hour for basic styling; add a perm or color and you are looking at two to three hours or more.
One thing to watch: price lists in Cheongdam work on a length surcharge basis. If your hair falls past the reference point, usually the collarbone, perms and coloring cost extra. Any celebrity salon besides Jenny House?
Hosu Dosan Cheongdam, near Apgujeong Rodeo Station, is the strongest alternative. Its designers do celebrity hair and makeup for broadcast, YouTube, drama and commercials, and once the hair and makeup are finished they shoot the result on a mini instant camera. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 7:30–19:00 (closed Mondays), bookings at 60-minute intervals, last slot 18:00, and a maximum of two people per time slot.
