The adult subway fare rose to ₩1,550 on 28 Jun 2025. Fares are distance-based: the base fare covers 10 km, measured over the whole journey including transfers.

City buses have cost ₩1,500 since 12 Aug 2023 — the June 2025 rise applied to the subway only. Adults and children pay the same in cash as by card; on most bus types youth pay more in cash.

Passes and the Han River Bus

The 30-day Climate Card is gone: prepaid top-ups stopped on 31 Aug 2026 and the postpaid version ended on 30 Sep 2026. The 1–7-day short-term passes continue, and from 1 Oct 2026 they also let you ride AREX out to Incheon Airport T1/T2 — to get off only.

KTX fares came down on 1 Sep 2026 with the merger of KTX and SRT. Korail’s own fare table could not be checked, so the KTX figures are as reported by Korean media citing Korail.
